IMPORTANT - This firmware update is only for the latest 64mb OHP 6000 series players and all OHP 7000 series players. If unsure of your players version, please call support at 800-839-7277 option 2

Updating your firmware

Once file is saved to desktop unzip all files (you will need Winzip type program to unzip folder containing files)

Run setup.exe file to install program  (setup wizard will start. Go through prompts to install Sigmatel program to computer)

Once the program is installed, follow these instructions

1. Plug the USB cable from the computer to the 6000 (7000) player so display shows "READY"
2. On your computer, click Start - Programs - Sigmatel MSCMMC Audio Player - Firmware Download
3. At this time a Firmware Download window will appearon your computer
   
4. Click the START button, it will then let you know that what the program will be doing will totally erase everything that is on the player so please make sure you have a back up of your MP3 files so when the program is finished you can reload your MP3 files back on the player.
5. Close the firmware download program and copy/paste your MP3 files back on the player. 
   
6. Turn off the player and then unplug the player from the USB cable and then turn the power back on.
