Works good and easier to install than I expected

I initially looked at this unit and decided against it because they talk about connecting to PC with USB cable etc etc. I didn't want to have to unhook it and bring it to my PC to update the message. After reading the manual, I learned that you can simply copy your audio file to a standard SD card (under $10 anywhere), plug it into the side of the unit, and you are done. When the SD card is plugged in, none of the default messages that come with it on the internal memory are used, so basically there is no programming, you just copy your file to the SD Card, plug it in, and viola. You can also copy multiple files to the SD card, and set it to automatically play them in sequence. It plays MP3 files too, and it displays the ID3 tags on the display, nice. If no ID3 tags, then it shows the filename. The volume control on the unit adjusts both the 600 Ohm output and the 8 ohm output, so it is easy to match to any phone system and adjust the volume. Another thing that isn't obvious from the website is that this unit has keyhole slots on the back so you can easily mount it to the backboard next to your phone system. Or you can set it on tabletop. It comes on automatically after power failure. Basically it is a set it and forget it device, and that's good for me! Highly recommended. You can probably buy it direct from your telephone or IT vendor cheaper than list price too.

When a walkman won't do the job, this unit worked great. I tried to get something to work on my AVAYA Partner phone system for years and failed until I bought the ON-HOLD 6000.
